Who our products are for
Everything we sell is for adults aged 18 and over, for personal use. Our products are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
Before you use something new
- Read the instructions that come with the product.
- Check it for damage, sharp edges or loose parts. Do not use a damaged product.
- If you have sensitive skin or allergies, check the materials listed on the product page first. Where we show Material verified, we have seen supplier documents for that material. Where a material is not verified, we tell you so.
- If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, have a pacemaker or another implanted device, or have a medical condition, speak to a doctor before using intimate products, especially ones that vibrate.
Cleaning
- Clean before and after every use with warm water and a mild, unscented soap or a toy cleaner.
- Waterproof toys can be rinsed. Splash-proof toys should only be wiped down, keeping water away from charging points.
- Let everything dry completely before you store it.
- Do not boil, microwave or dishwash a product unless its instructions say you can.
Lube and materials
- Silicone toys: use water-based lube. Silicone lube can damage the surface of silicone toys.
- Condoms: use water-based or silicone-based lube. Oil-based products weaken latex condoms.
- Patch-test a new lube on your inner arm if you are prone to irritation.
Using products safely
- Stop straight away if you feel pain, numbness, irritation or bleeding. If it does not settle, see a doctor or clinic.
- Anything used for anal play must have a flared base or a handle so it cannot be lost inside the body.
- Clean a product, or use a new condom on it, before it is used on a different person or moves from anal to vaginal use.
- Lingerie and restraints should never restrict breathing or circulation. Agree a safe word with your partner and keep scissors nearby for anything that ties.
Charging and batteries
- Charge only with the cable that came with the product, and never leave a product charging unattended or overnight.
- Stop using and stop charging a product that becomes hot, swells, smells of burning or leaks.
- Remove batteries from battery-powered products you are not going to use for a while.
- Do not throw rechargeable products or batteries in household waste. Use an e-waste or battery recycling point.
Storage
Store products clean and dry, out of direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets. Keep different materials apart, as some react when they touch for a long time. A cotton pouch is ideal.
